Reintegrating
Reintegrating into society is really strange these days. I hate when people say “post pandemic” because it is certainly not over. I’m thrilled to be vaccinated but am still quite cautious and selective of where and with who I spend my time. I am equally excited to see friends and have plans and beyond exhausted by them. I need more “recovery” time than ever. Physically and emotionally. I need days of doing nothing, where even writing and reading feels tough. I’m trying to build in that time as much as possible while also doing things that pre-pandemic felt so normal.
Today’s Prompt (16): How are you navigating the reopening of the world? Are you excited and making lots of plans? Hesitant to dive right in? Taking care of your mental and physical health while doing it?
Turn your phone on airplane mode and remove all distractions. Set a timer and write for 25 minutes. I encourage you to write in a notebook instead of on your computer or phone - don’t edit while you’re writing. When the timer goes off, if you have the time, space and interest to continue, go for it.
